How far has it fallen?
This is a question that I get asked so frequently I wanted to share some "real" statistics on the market, versus what everyone is hearing on the news and various websites. For instance, one of my past clients went on Zillow, a website that is supposed to give market values and told me they thought their house had depreciated 20% or more. Zillow pulls its information from websites and averages the prices in an area. So if you live in a neighborhood that has a range of prices from $200,000 to $300,000 and 4 houses sold for $200,000 to $219,000, Zillow will average the 4 houses and give you impression that the value of your $300,000 house is only around $210,000.
Bottom line: There is no substitute for having an experienced agent,like myself, look at your home and do an in depth market analysis.

Donna has lived in Pennslyvania for the last 22 years and been in real estate for 20 of those years. She is a native of Kansas and has lived in Rhode Island, Montana, and Illinois. Donna has consistently been in the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors top 1% for the last 7 years. Donna is married for lots of years and lives with her husband and cat in Upper Allen Twp.
